About alkizz

Hi, I'm alkizz. We are truly in the dumbest timeline, so I started a website.

How I got here

I dropped out of college and spent about nine years in restaurants. Then I moved into IT and security and rose fast. Early on I was an IBM ISS instructor. Later I was a global CISO. When the technical talent around me outpaced me, I did the sensible thing and moved into leadership.

That's 25+ years in security. I run a security company, I've built teams and businesses, been through M&A on both sides, and raised about $75M.

Origin stories

Lizard Squad owned me. Years ago they hacked me via InfraGard Atlanta, and because I'd reused passwords, they got my X account too. I left their posts up. It's a monument.

I hold a world record. Self-proclaimed: most concurrent free credit monitoring subscriptions. That's the thing breached companies give you after they lose your data. I am very well monitored.

How I think

Be dumb to keep it simple. Take risks and make mistakes, but never the same one twice. Trust your gut (yes, Blink). Fail fast. And a Thoreau line I like: "It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see."

What this is

Practical AI security for builders and businesses. No doom unless we're mocking it. Do these people know you can just stop doing things?

AI isn't "safe." Securing it is your job. This site is here to make that job a little dumber.
